Mission & scope

The Journal of Cutaneous Immunology and Allergy (JCIA) is a multidisciplinary journal that publishes comprehensive research covering the entire scope of cutaneous immunology and allergy, from molecular studies to clinical investigations and observations.

Led by Prof Sei-ichiro Motegi from Gunma University, Japan, JCIA welcomes research contributions in the various domains of dermatology and immunology, which bridge the gap between basic research and clinical application.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Molecular and cellular mechanisms of skin immunology
  • Allergic skin conditions and their management
  • Clinical trials and case studies in dermatology and allergology
  • Innovations in treatment and diagnostic methodologies
  • Epidemiological studies on skin diseases and allergies

The journal welcomes submissions which support and advance SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, emphasizing the importance of research in immunology and allergy to improve skin-related health conditions and promote well-being at all ages.

Manuscripts relating to topics outside the realms of dermatology, immunology, and allergy, or those not contributing to the understanding and treatment of skin conditions, are not suitable for publication in this journal.

The Journal of Cutaneous Immunology and Allergy is committed to advancing developments in the field of dermatology and immunology by allowing unrestricted access to articles, and communicating scientific knowledge to researchers and the public alike, to enable the scientific breakthroughs of the future.
