Background

In recent years, traditional cancer treatments have encountered limitations in achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes for many malignant tumors when used in isolation. To maximize patient benefit, cancer treatment has evolved into an era of comprehensive and individualized approaches.

Comprehensive cancer treatment extends beyond simply combining surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and other modalities. It embodies a multidisciplinary, evidence-based framework for diagnosis and treatment. Individualized therapy, tailored to the unique characteristics of each patient, integrates the strengths of traditional methods with the advantages of personalized, targeted care, exemplifying the promise of precision medicine.

This Special Issue aims to provide an in-depth update on the use of anti-cancer drugs in synergistic combination therapies, emphasizing the progression from preclinical research to clinical application. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, we hope to uncover innovative strategies that improve outcomes for patients battling resistant and challenging cancers. Featuring research on diverse radiotherapy and immunotherapy anti-cancer drugs used in combination therapies, this Special Issue will deliver the latest advancements to medicinal scientists and clinicians.

The Special Issue will spotlight research on novel anti-cancer drugs in combination therapy and personalized therapeutic strategies, from comprehensive treatment models to precision medicine.

We welcome contributions focused on, but not limited to, the following themes:
• Combined therapy approaches for cancer treatment
• Radiotherapy and immunotherapy bio-drugs in cancer treatment
• Personalized and combination therapies in cancer management
• Advances in biomarkers for anti-cancer therapy
• Integrating art therapy with multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment models in tumor therapy
• Strategies to prevent radiation-induced organ damage in radiotherapy
