Background

The quality of public health affects the progress of civilization, economy, industry, and medical care. It is an issue of global importance and has long been the subject of numerous research projects with the factors that modify the quality of public health acting as the points of reference for developing new and more effective health and industrial management systems. Since the 2019 COVID-19 pandemic, the civilization has been undergoing rapid changes in healthcare management. As an example, we observed the technological leaps in diagnostic methods such as the extended use of point-of-care tests (POCT) as well as self-testing at home, which is more popular than ever.
After almost 5 years we can evaluate how the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced public health. We can verify the epidemiological data, regarding the health condition and correlate them with biochemical, microbiological, and genetic factors. We can also use epidemiological studies as an important tool for verifying scientific observations obtained during experimental research.
In this special issue, we want to present the multidisciplinary approach and explore the biological, physical, and chemical factors in viral and bacterial diseases, in particular SARS-CoV-2, and their effects on public health.

This Special Issue welcomes contributions that improve our understanding of the impact of the various epidemiological factors of human infectious diseases, as well as their applications in diagnostics, medicine, and healthcare management.

Potential areas of interest may include, but are not limited to:
● The new era of vaccination - the mRNA vaccine.
● Advantages of vaccination during infection season.
● Diagnostic of microbiological infection and potential method of prevention.
● Point-of-care test in practice.
● Effects on public health and specific health conditions after Covid-19 and other infections.
